I'd only been in the country less than two years, after making the switch from Poland,  when I first started working with KFM, and I can safely say my life has changed for the better in the time since.

A friend recommended KFM Recruitment because of the competitive rate. I didn't come looking for a temporary or permanent role. I just wanted a job on a Forklift as soon as I could get one. I'd done a little training at my old place and wanted to pursue it.

A few days after applying online, I was starting in my new role. Twelve weeks later, the temp role became permanent as the client took me on. 

It was a real help that I could contact KFM 24 hours a day. I remember one specific incident when the app we used to sign in wasn't working on my phone, and I couldn't see when my shift was due to start. Thankfully I rang the contact number, and they started texting me my hours every week until my phone started working correctly and the I could use the app again. 

Even the Payroll department, when I had a tax code issue, explained why it happened and how to contact HMRC to fix it. The communication and availability stood out for me.

I was really happy to be working in a healthy but competitive environment. The client had high standards and demanded quality performance. They didn't rush me to get the work done, but there was an expectation for the work to be perfect. That was something I enjoyed and hadn't experienced up until then.

My long-term plan was always to go to University and study Mechanical Engineering at a top UK University. My stable income and competitive salary have made that possible, and the high standards in my job have only motivated me further.
